This patient presented with several problems. He was apprehensive about dental treatment, self conscious about his smile, and has a very active gag reflex. He had numerous carious lesions, failing restorations, missing teeth, bite collapsed, and large spaces between the teeth. Implants were used to replace missing teeth. This option was preferred over a removable prosthesis because of the patient's sensitive gag reflex. An upper right molar was restored with a porcelain fused to metal crown (cap) and three other teeth were restored. The maxillary (top) central teeth were replaced with single implant crowns, maintaining the characteristic space between the teeth. The remaining maxillary anteriors (front teeth) were crowned with porcelain crowns to save the teeth and improve his smile. His mandibular teeth(lower front) were simply cleaned and bleached. He is no longer self conscious and enjoys his attractive and natural looking smile.
